Maiava Atalina Emma Ainuu-Enari has been the Governor of the Central Bank of Samoa since August 2011. Ms. Enari joined the Central Bank in 1991. A career central banker who held a number of senior positions within the Bank and responsible for monetary policy formulation and implementation, reserve and liquidity management, foreign and money market operations and exchange rate management. She serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of Samoa and a board director for the Samoa International Finance Authority.
Ms Enari is an Economist and Lawyer and holds a Bachelor of Business in Economics, Banking and Finance from University of Southern Queensland (Australia), a Master of Science in International Economics, Banking and Finance from the University of Wales (UK), and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP) from the University of the South Pacific (Fiji and Vanuatu).
